i am looking to upgrade the speakers in my 2k2 EL and was wondering what size the stock front and rear speakers are...

Rears are 6.5". Fronts are a bizzarro setup where the mounting hardware is integrated into the speaker housing. Generally, it's 6.5" speakers that will fit up front. Might have to trim though.

I have 6.5's all around on my 2002.

Yeah ! well my 2000 EL has I think 6.5's in the front door's but 6X9 's in the back deck lid. just to let ppl know!

The 1.6's might have rear drum brakes (the horror) but IMO they come with a slightly sweeter stock audio setup.
