Hey, I got my car Maaco'd about 3 years ago, and it has held up very well. I do wash my car very well every week, though. I would get mine painted at Maaco, but keep it very clean, wash it weekly. I will be getting that Maaco crap off of my car though, and have a Cadi Dealer paint my whole car when i get new bumpers That'll be sweet

your post made no sense what so ever. You said you had your car painted by macco and it held up. Then you said you would get your car painted at macco. Then you said you wanted that macco crap off your car, and have the cadi dealer paint it. So why do you say macco's paint held up, but you want the "CRAP" off the car? Apparently the paint job sucked if you want the CRAP off your car. A good paint job should cost around $1200-$1800, now Macco charges about $250 because they always have the half off sale. Now I have seen cars painted by macco, and it is horrible. Macco is for people who are poor and want a quick fix paint job that will last 6 months. They charge cheap for 2 reasons. The first is because macco will only take off the clear coat and paint over the original paint and then clear coat again. Most good paint shops will strip the clear coat and paint and re-prime the car, then paint it again and clear coat it. Also with macco paint jobs, they do that knowing that in 6 months your paint will *** up and you will be back for another paint job that will cost you another $250. And the cycle keeps going.
There is something else about there paint, but I cant remember.

If you want a good paint job on your lip, either go to the dealer, or a good body shop who deals with painting body kits.

Ok, let me refraise it, it is contridicting. He said the paint held up well, and he would do it, but then said he wanted the crap off his car. Apparently it didnt hold up well if he wanted the crap off his car. What other reason would he have for wanting it off. Anything would imply that it was a crappy paint job if he wants it off. Hint the phrase he used "I will be getting that Maaco crap off of my car though".

There not decent though. Maaco is for poor people wanting a quick fix paint job. You will be sorry a few months down the road when you see your paint start chipping away and fading and what not. Yea you will get rock chips, but who knows, you might be lucky. I say get it painted at a decent place. And remember, you bought a lip kit because you wanted to make your car look better, and to go with it should be a nice paint job. Getting a cheap paint job just defeats the purpose of getting the lip kit.

Krylon?

Just kidding, although I love it when people try and spray paint their cars.

My advice is to go to a customizing shop where they do lots of airbrushing and see how cheap they'll go for you. Oh yeah, laughing at their jokes and showing some cleavage helps, too... if you've got the goods and they're into that kind of stuff. And if you don't have the goods, get an accomplice who does.
