Ion Redline Testdrive 7/26/04 @ approx. 7pm!
I just got back from a lil test drive of the Saturn Ion Redline. Well there are 3 things I like......the torque, the supercharger, and the seats. I really didn't have a chance to really shake it down...girlfriend was in passenger seat yelling at me when my foot accidentally slipped off the clutch and I resurfaced a section of road in first and second gear.....oops...my bad Saturn. I think I may go back and cheack it out more, give it a more thorough drive. If I like it I may have a deal with Saturn for a trade in and I will have the same payments as my civic.......hmmmmmm....Supercharger...Intercooler. .....upgrades.......hmmmm.........yeeeaaahhhya.

ahhh...Saturn..who cares...it's fun to rip on and it would walk on a my car...something new, different. Who knows what I do.....I'll prolly beotch out and keep my baby until the 06 Civic coupes come out.
still an saturn. ugly too =\
but if its a car you like, go for it. IMO, its not so impressive considered its SC and intercooled. many japanese 4-cyl run 15's stock all motor. itr/rsx-s/civic si/integra gsr/etc.

I already posted about a test drive on this POS like 2 weeks ago. It was a POS then and it's still a POS now.

Real ugly, i could never drive a car with the speedometer and tach in the middle on the front dash, looks goofy and out of place, id rather buy a 16,000 civic and turbo it.

and.. yeah, gap inconsistency sucks and its getting rampant in the GM line. used to be only the sunfire that looked like belch, now its basically the whole car lineup.

saturn panels not only shatter but they melt too (that is when on fire, not just from direct sunlight
I read a review, they totally ripped on the car. Said an M1A1 tank could out handle it. THe reason its so slow is because the gear ratios are terrible. Each shift puts you below the power band. Notice the high trap speed and low ET. Should be doing mid/high 14's with proper ratios
