Ok so i was on the freeway the other day and i saw what i thought was a Civic sedan like an 01-03. But when i looked close it has Acura written all over it. Badges, front grill. So is there a sedan that looks like a civic or did this guy just change his civic to an Acura?
lol
The only diff between a Vic sedan and the 1.7EL was the EL were VTEC and had rear disc and the vic sedan didnt have VTEC till they came out with a EX/Si sedan and the head and tail lights are a lil different, oh and one has an H and one has an A.

Why do you say that? There wouldnt even be an ACURA name in North America if it wasnt for the US and there whole it has to be luxurious and HONDA's are not luxurious so lets call a HONDA an Acura and then it will be luxurious.

jeez....it's like kids arguing over their toys.
For the money, if I had to choose between the Civic EX/Si sedan and the EL 1.7 I would choose the EL and be on my way.
Sure the aftermarket isn't really nice to this car as far as the exterior goes but guys like Telly have found many ways to mod this beotch to be even more appealing than it is off the showroom floor.

Everybody is always intrigued by what they don't have. I'm in Canada an I see EL's like I see civics.
I'd rather have the civic EX since it comes in the coupe model.

Acura actually dropped the 1.7 from the name starting with the 2004+ models, so the current model is actually just called the EL now. Thread
