whay does everyone think the k20a is a viable, stock option for USDM civics (or rsx's)? it runs off higher octane gas that 99% of gas stations don't have and the LSD is the nicest feature about the swap. they'd just tweek whats out there slightly to eek out a little more juice, and still come out strong.

i dont think it would be that hard for a civic with a k series engine to meet USDM emission and crash standards since the rsx is already in the USDM market and they use the same platform. I dont think honda should get rid of th d-series engine all together though. I agree we're in the minority and most people buy the civic for fuel economy. i Know thats one of the reasons i bought mine. I think would profit if they cater to more of a wide range audenice, they stand to make more of a profit. I say they keep the d series engines for the dx hx ex models. Put a k20a2 into the si to compete against the type S mazda 3, lancer, srt-4 and tc. All the Vtec performance fanatics will buy the si and all the commuter people will buy the ex. Then put the k20a in the type-S rsx to keep it one step about the si.

what about the corrola??? the new one has a 170hp doch celica gts engine it in!!!!!!!!
, but the car is still gay!!if toyota can do it so can honda

and our cars dream of making 100 wheel hp
if your car has 117 hp ... id estimate around 80-85
