EL Chasis Code

Does anyone know what it is ?

I am curious to see if it is the same as the Civic Sedan.

Just go look at your VIN. It's the 4th-6th characters.

Mine starts out as 1HGEM2..., basically meaning it was built in 2001, but I'm not sure about the HG. I think that means it's a 2 door or something. After that is the chassis code.

01-04 are ES, just like the Civic sedans. *edit* 1.6's are MB4.

yeah 1st gen EL's is MB4, and correct me if im wrong but 2nd gen EL's are MB5??

Nope, second gen ELs are ES3 as Telly mentioned.

Unfortunately I do not own a EL.

I was just curious, see how they are using the same chasis as the Civic.

I think it would be pimped. Get an EL front end, a Greddy or C-West RSX lip, and pop that on a coupe with BC sides and rear...definitely unique.
