it won't be the *2005 Civic* rolling out in few months or so, since they just did a facelift with the 2004 civics. Expect the 8th gens to come out next year, if Honda's doing a major change every 5 years.
if they made an si coupe with the 7thgen body, that'd be so fcukin clean
but i bet if their is gonna be a new change into the civic, its gonna be more "americanized" with a spice of euro styling. prob an element and accords baby bro.

I might get flamed for this, but here it goes...
I think that changing the Si hatchback to a coupe won't draw in as many buyers as one might believe. Reasoning behind this is that the 99-00 Si coupes had something that was considered to be a giant leap for Honda to do and at the right time. This was the B Series engine into a civic chassis (del sol does not count), with full warranty, and at a time when Hondas were still dominant in the sport compact scene. I mean how many people did you guys know that wanted the B16, B18, LS/Vtec, into their Civics during the late 90's early 00's? Honda answered and the car became popular, even still today.
Now the new Si hatchback isn’t a bad car. It is fun to drive, but with so many competitors that offer more car for the money it is no wonder the Si lost its popularity. IMO if Honda wants to openly get back into this scene it needs to build cars that can compete with its competitors in all aspects (HP, handling/braking, styling, and price). Sorry for the long reply.

1. our cars look better

3. have you seen the resale on a civic compared to a kia.
buying a honda is a somewhat good investment as far as purchasing a car goes. american and korean cars depreciate much faster than a honda does, right?
but why is that???????????????????????????????
Honda PERFORMANCE. I didn't buy this car because I wanted to race it or thought it was fast. HELL no! I bought my EX because it can get 38 mpg as my commuter and is still a blast to drive.

My grandma has a 90' Hyundai Accent. It has like 323,000+ some odd miles on it. With regular maintanence, no accidents, and TLC, that 4 speed M/T has one of the best air conditioners I have ever felt. Runs like the day she drove it off the lot, brand new. Gets you to Vegas in one tank. I kid you not.

As a matter of fact, I am waiting until next year (to get the bugs out, if ever) to trade my 04 LX to a Scion tC.
There is a new posting about something along this line every day...
but, once again, I do agree, Honda needs to do something here soon, like push the d series motor to 150+ horse, they can do it, they just havent yet...
