ok so last week I went to my local stealership to get my 7thgen serviced for an Oil&Filter change, transmisson fluid flush, and headlight Recall fixed. That's all in this thread: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=159849
I noticed Wednesday while backing into my driveway that a popping noise was coming from my rear brakedrums somewhere. I would have noticed it sooner, but I always have my windows up and music on. So I went to Honda just a few hours ago to get it fixed. The girl I talked to was all defensive for some reason...
I told her I got serviced last week, showed her my service invoice from that, and the noise wasn't there before. Now, they ALWAYS tightened the emergency brake with every oil service that I've ever gone in for, and the ebrake deals with the rear brake drums. She was like "oh no.. we didn't touch it because it's not on your invoice" and she wasn't aggreeing with anything I was saying. But it's funny how they're so quick to blame a modification for a totally unrelated problem
They're so full of **** its amazing. I suppose that new oil tightens up the rear brake magically... So then I backed up for a mechanic so he heard the noise, wait some more, and the girl came back and she didnt know what the **** she was talking about. She threw "$32" into the air for the mechanic to 'clean & adjust' my 'very dirty' rear brakes.
I can't stand going there anymore, and I'm not going to. I'm just gonna go to Jiffy Lube where I bring my sister's car.

Yeah well i know how you feel, the honda dealership that i bought the car from did some messed up crap to me when i went for my first "required maintenance." They said that i need new front brakes (totaling around $400)... mind you this is the first check up. I told them that they must be wrong so i took it to Midas for a free brake check.. Midas said nothing was wrong with my brakes and had me look at them myself.. There must be something about Honda Dealerships and ripping people off.. Like they dont make enough money as it is.
