Looking for a project car.

Hey, I have my daily driver (04 Civic EX Coupe)

But I am looking for something to take on the trails around here (we have a lot her in soudth florida)

Looking for:

Manual
All Wheel Drive (for the damn sand all around here)
Reliable when BEAT TO HELL

I was looking at a 99 Subaru Impreza RS for around $8500
Has 165HP and everything else Im looking for.

Basically im going to rip out the seats put some lighweight racing-style seats and some wide grippy tires and take it out and have some fun.

Any other suggestions? Id like to keep it as cheap as possible?

i don't really know any other options .. but i can say the impreza is a good start .. i love them cars. where in south florida are u?

edit: i know imprezas are great for their AWD, but im not sure how reliable they are, especially when beat to death.

Keep dreaming. The Impreza would be a good choice, though. But Jeeps are more fun off road.
