Perfectionist?

Anyone of you 7thgeners like to make those mods look just perfect? Tiny scratches and rattling bother you for days? These things tend to get to me all the time. Today i got my rsx shift ****. By the way it was the wrong one... I wanted the base **** thats all black and they sent me a silver one that was a 5-speed. I got it direct from acura so maybe they don't make the black 5-speed ***** anymore. But i like it even though it was the wrong one. Anyways! when i put it on and tightened it down the freaking numbers didn't line up straight. They aren't vertical like they should be. I couldn't take any pics but... the (1) on the **** looks like this (/). Although its not as bad as that! Any fixes for this?

i think theres some liquid stuff that you can get to put on bolts so that when you put a nut on them and wait a bit the liquid sets and its like a locking nut. you can get that and put a little on the thread of the shift stick and then screw the **** on how you like it, wait a bit for it to set and it shouldnt be loose anymore.

how loose can the **** be that you notice it. i can twist my stock one quite a bit but i wouldnt say its loose.

its really loose... it would move all over if its not tightened down completely. A lot different from oem civic ****. Thanks for the tip about the liquid stuff. I wonder if it would be too permanent...

yea...that stuff is called Lock Tite or Lock Tight.

It's pretty permanent, but you can always loosen stuff up with some serious grade solvents.
