the lightning has a supercharged 5.7 liter V8 but only came in automatics i believe, The syclone i think has a Mitsubishi 4G63 motor (2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder)

I think the lightning is either a 5.4 or 5.8 supercharged whereas the syclone is a twin turbo 4.3 i believe....at any rate pretty rare

wow, where did the anger come from there ha ha j/k yes the ford has a 5.4 i believe or maybe 5.8...he was close though. the 5.7 is the gm 350 motor. the psyclone has the same motor that the buick gran nationals had in them. twin turbo 4.3 and those trucks were rumored to be banned from production for safty issues. either way they were badass trucks. basically a reworked s-10. patrick

the syclone had a 4.3L turbo v6 4spd auto

Did my homework this time, the Lightening indeed has a 5.4 liter supercharged V8 putting out 380 hp, however a 6 speed was never an option, only autos.

The Syclone came with the 4.3 liter V6 Twin TD06 17G making 280 hp also only avaiable in a 4 speed auto

it was rumored that the 280 HP rating was about as accurate as the last few years V8 F-bodies. I think that syclones dyno at about 280 to the wheels.

The Syclone is also awd is it not, just like the Typhoon.
And personally, right now, i would take a Typhoon over any car given to me. So rare and so sweet.

yeah, the typhoon is the 2 door blazer version and the syclone is the regular cab version. They are both AWD and have the TT 4.3 . IF anyone is intrerested in these, check out www.syty.net (welcome to the 10s ). even though I sport a civic now, I grew up on pushrod motors, and even though they dont pack Hp/L or any of those useless numbers, you won't find anything that packs HP/ pound like a tuned pushrod motor (cough..LS1 block weighs 90lbs...cough) Sometimes you have to give the nod to "simplicity"

syclone i have no clue they are rare and that one had alot done to it.... and the race is a bracket race where in theory if you both run what you say you will you will meet at the end if you score less you loose automatically and it you pull a perfect light you win automatically
