Wrecked 04 Civic Help
^^That might work. I've honestly never been in an accident with that much damage. I doubt my last insurance company would have given a damn about me anyway.
However the one I'm with now might be more open to here an argument like that. I guess it depends on your Insurance comapny and the agent.

Just got it back!
I just picked up the car last Friday. It looks great! Total bill came to a little over $10,600. Everything looks good. Everything behind the rear wheels was replaced with new parts. They also replaced the right rear strut and the right rear tire. My insurance company had to pay the bill. I'm out the deductable and part of the rental car (29 days total). It's a shame that I have to pay anything, but the guy who hit me has no insurance and no license. He'll probably go to jail.
Attached are the before and after pictures.

congrats on your return! be an honest person and tell us what's up next month k? (Just curious, not trying to jinx or offend you)
geez... $10g? That's Volk rims, turbocharge, full AV ICE, body kit, lambo doors, carbon fiber everything, tints and other small mods right there. Sheeet! I think you can even throw in a k20 swap (instead of turbo) with that much

Have driven a little over 1000 miles since I got it back May 27. The only thing that needs to be adjusted is the back seat release. I could only unlock one side with the key. I could release the other side from inside the trunk. Otherwise, it's just like new. Have gotten 35, 35, 33, and 32 mpg (1st two hwy). No rattles, squeaks, or clunks. The dealer gave me pictures of the car being repaired. The serviceman even posed with the car! I can't tell that anything happened!
Honda West in Indianapolis did the work.

It has 3700 total miles on it. I have a 2.9% loan now, but would lose big time if I trade it in to get a new car. The dealer who fixed it also services the car. Thanks for the advice.
Word.
Good for you, you went with your gut even though everyone here was telling you no.
Now you prob feel you've made the right choice, and you're happy with your decision.
Don't matter what anyone else tells you.

glad to here it worked out... one thing i want to know is if the service people gave you a written guarantee of the work. I say this because when time comes to get a new car the only place you may be able to get a good deal for the car is the dealership that fixed it. other places won't care who guaranteed the work

Got it fixed again.
Took the car into a car wash and found a leak in the trunk. Called the dealer today and talked to the guy who fixed the car. He had me come in today and he readjusted the trunk rubber seal ( he used a flashlight). He also fixed the rear seat key release on the spot. He dropped everything to satisfy me! I know these things will happen. I'm still satisfied.

Next car wash
Took the car through the car wash today. No leaks in the trunk! Had 1st oil change at 4,858 miles. I have over 5,600 now. 3K miles since the accident. Everything is now OK! I'm getting 32-37 mpg consistently. Thank you all for your help and advice. The Honda dealership did great work.
