Recall Notice: '01-'02 Civics
Anybody else get one yet.. Just got mine today.
Apparently the terminal in the headlight wire harness is weak and overheats, causing the lowbeams to fail without warning..

i got that letter today. and i called my dealer, they said they need my car for half a day or more.. its my only car and i dont want anyone messing with my car. *IE: newbie workers who drive your car around to see what it has*
I dont trust dealers that much, well not my dealer anyway.. lol

I asked my dealer when I brought my car in to have the suspension replaced.... They said it only affects American civics.... Then she went on to say that it's a shame that they didn't put that on the notice, cause I wasn't the only one asking about the recall

I went to my dealer about a week ago and ask to have it fixed, they had all the necessary parts in stock and fixed it all up and stuff, it took them maybe 45mins, gave me new bulbs to. they may give some people crap for using aftermarket bulbs. they told me when my bulbs burn out that i should buy them from the dealership, they run about $20 a pair and come with a one year warranty through honda.

Thats cool, I was wondering why I never heard of this before. I am going to check with the dealer this week just to be safe though.

Took mine in today and had it changed out apparently mine was faulty already and the wire harness had to get totally swapped out, I wonder if the new harness that was put in my car can handle 110 watt bulbs instead of the 45/55 watt bulbs in there?

Does your dealer sell aftermarket bulbs? Just wondering because mine does, and if they're giving new bulbs, then I'm gonna make sure they're not crappy ones..
