I drove couple of clios and they barely hit the 220 Km..... and their speedometer marks 230 Km...????

Yeah... that's probably because you were driving a Clio It's only an FWD econobox like the Civic, with a little 4 cylinder. It's the Renault Sport Clio V6 24V where it's all at
