highest gear youve been in while "burningout"

eh?

just today it was a little wet and on some unsmooth pavement (meaning not good traction) and an incline, i torqued braked and reved my auto 04 coupe to 2500 rpm and slammed on the gas

rpm's shot up to redline, hit the limiter for one second, shifted to second. i popped the shifter to "2", locked the transmission on 2nd gear. the rpm's stayed at about 5 grand and speedo read 63 MPH but i was going no where, started seeing some tire smoke.

first burnout attempted, a bit nervewracking but soooo coool. wish my auto had a 1st gear lockup.

whats the highest gear youve guys been in while "buirning out"

on the way to the socal rainy meet I got them spining while rolling in third, on the freeway. My car is pretty much stock, the ground was just really slippery. It was cool though. On dirt I have spun through 2nd but it was cool cause i started in 1st going backwards (hand brake turn). from a standing start on wet ground 3rd. Dry ground was in a rental focus, got the auto to hit third with the parking brake locked. Those fords are good for something lol.

yes. i work for ntb. national tire and battery. the bridgestones are way better for traction. but they will wear out quick.
