talking bout' the kill switch..
hi guys, first of all..this is not a repost..
i just wanna make sure about this issue about the fuel kill switch..
it seems like the original post was posted long time ago...so i wanna bring it up again to discuss it again..
as ImmortalEX said, he used a simple on-off switch and an 18 gauge wires..
would that be really enogh? i mean...we're playing with the fuel wire here...
is there any "legal" information from Honda about the ampere rating for that fuel cable? that's in order to make sure that we use the perfect cable so that there won't be extra resistance by the wires...
and about the switch, is there any term of resistance by the switch? if so, what is the perfect switch what we're suppose to use? i saw one of em in the discussion, they got it in radiosuck...it's a good one, but i believe that we need something that is easy to hide....
the damn thing i hate about the security discussion...everyone can read it....everyone, my friends....including the thieves.... i do believe that those thiefs are also member of these kind of auto forums....they read it....they learn it....DAMN!
edit:: especially after tom, a guy in a previous post, said about that adding resistance whereas ur not suppose to...cos' it's been calculated by honda engineers...hm.............

Rep Power: 0 When messing with wires, always make sure the new wire is the same size or one gauge larger than what your fooling with.
The only way a switch provides measureable resistance in the "on" position is if it's broken.
Hope that helps out at least a little.

Rep Power: 0 I have a fuel-kill switch installed. I used 12G wiring. When you get into it you will see that the OEM wire is in fact an 18G wire. so you could use an 18G. So far I have had no probs at all with the diff. in wire size.
As for the switch, I too, got mine a Radio Shack. It is just a simple rocker switch. They have a large selection of small ones that you can hide fairly easily. PM me if you need anymore help.
