Does this kind of burying in the snow do any harm to a car?

Our August days actually are quite warm (30 celcius believe it or not) but this storm was just insane, and we're getting more!

no. just safer not to drive is all. worst that happens to me is when all the ice builds up in your wheels and throws off your balance.

Probably doesn't help, but I doubt it's that bad. I got off pretty easy, but my friend and girlfriend weren't as lucky. Their cars were COMPLETELY buried, and snow was packed into their engine compartment, luckily the worst I got was snow packed in between the brake discs and the steel wheels, and snow packed into the grill opening to the radiator. Of course it took a while to uncover the car itself, but it started up with no trouble whatsoever and I just let it idle to melt the left over snow off.

The only dangerous part is removing it without scratching the car. The snow itself is harmless. The powder that forms drifts is light and the load spreads out evenly.

Hey Majarvis, that sucks man, I live in Saint John, NB and we were lucky to get off with like 15 cm. I have been watching the news and seen some of the shots of the city there and its nuts.

I know we are all going to be getting screwed again tonight with anywhere from 10 cm to 25 cm.

I hate Snow and I hate winter .........

Yeah, I so cant wait for the nice weather so I can get the car out.
I am getting so sick of this winter weather.
You going to any shows this year?, I think we will be bringing the club to Halifax something this year for a show or two, as well as PEI, and other shows and racing in NB.
