ok we get it your ta will smoke every 7thgen on this site dont get me wrong i love the ws6 i wanted one for soo long (you can ask the site haha) but i decided not to get rid of my civic for a few good reasons.
1. ZERO engine problems so far.
2. 38mpg PUNK haha see you at the pumps haha
3. INSURANCE
4. its a damn good daily driver i trust my car.
All my uncles and cousins are domestic guys and truth be told they do take more wrenching than hondas but they also have v8's so there are more parts to go wrong. anyone who says domestics suck are nothing but ricers the ls1 engine is soo bad ***. to add one more thing NOTHING stock coming from japan is even close to touching a zo6 or viper so until then ricers shut your mouth.

You get 10 more mpg than my car but I'm going to venture and say I make more than double the HP you do to the ground. I wouldn't brag to much about that

imports: reliability
domestics: power.
I mean doesn't anyone ever look at the whole car? i mean you know handeling, confort, road manners, drivability. why doesn't anyone compare skid pad numbers? braking? hell head/leg room?
It takes alot more than being fast and lasting long to make a good car.

Sadboy....I chuckle when I hear the comment of nothing from Japan stock will own a Z06. Go do some homework on Skylines...etc....I cant stop laughing at this thread!!!! Why dont we start a thread on reliability instead of coming down on 02WS6 his thread.
It all comes to personal preference.
I would take Hawk's civic over 02RedWS6TA any day of the week. I really don't give a s**t it makes over 400 hp. I think Hawk's civic looks better, is more reliable, handles better, and is more confortable than any F-body. You guys can argue over this thread for 10 years, but you will never come to an agreement.

Welcome to the site, its usualy not so confrontational about this kind of crap. My dad always had small block powered cars, but now he is starting to get into my civic as I mod it. Its really cool to see him get exited about these little cars after seeing his stuff back when I was a kid. I still think the coolest car he ever had was our turbo volvo.

Ok now to my points, A 1.6-2.0 liter car, I don't care what kind of car it is shouldn't beat ANY V8. The fact that people build cars that do that is embarrasing to any domestic owner. That is how I feel.
You have two more cylinders and RWD. There is no reason your car shouldn't be faster. It better be. I am not arguing in any way, just stating points.

The reliability issue is old, find something new to think up, the LS1 has never failed nor does it require anything beyond basic fluid changes to keep running well passed 100k miles. Looks is a personal preference but I'd venture to say about 85% of people would say a WS6 looks better than a civic. And you're right on your last point it's been beaten to death many of times and will continue to do so.
I don't know why all this stuff got brought up, all I did was say hi and ask if there are any fast civics on here.

A V8 that runs 12's is a dime a dozen that's sure as hell true. A V8 that runs min 12's on high 2.2 60' times is capable of 11's, and a 6 speed from a roll is deadly to most anything on the street. I've beat the only vipers that would race me, both from a roll. Vipers are easy low 12 high 11 second cars, and are impressive. I didn't come on here to impress anyone and I'm not trying to. If you remember right Captain is the one that started this entire mess, all I did was say hi and ask a question. I got along fine with the members while posting and had no problems at all. This did get to a rather large thread though, it is archive material

V8's have been doing it for countless years, I just read earlier today the first car to break the 9's was in 1953. Now thats impressive. Seeing a car carry the front tires passed the 60' line thats impressive, watching something pull low 1 second 60' times thats impressive, a 4 banger running 10's in 2004 thats behind the times bud.

O and that happened like 2 years ago, I think the guy is already in the nines.....i dunno. Just making a point.
and yes a 4 cyl running in the 10's is old news too its been getting done for years now, just not all motor.

This is getting out of hand. I dont remember who said it before but they made a good point that its all personal preference and this could be argued until the turn of the century.

That was basically my point. For street cars, hp/litre means just about nothing. We're not racing F1 or Rally cars here with specific guidelines, so in the real world, more hp = more hp.

You know a lot of people have very good arguments in this thread, but the truth is that the only thing that matters is personal preference and what really matters to each person. If reliability is more important to you, then go get a Civic, and don't worry about comparing it to a Camaro or Firebird. If power is what you want and don't care about great reliability (ME) then go get yourself a Camaro or Firebird and don't go and talk trash on civics. Simple as that.
