No Celica or MR-S for 2005?
Rumors (from Motor Trend) sugest that Toyota USA may not bring the Celica or MR-S to the US for the 2005 model year. Replacing the Celica in the Toyota lineup may be the Scion Tc ("Toyota Celica"?). Suposedly Toyota feels they only have room in their line up for one sporty coupe. On the plus side, the complete lack of a sporty car altogether may mean that Toyota will fill it with a new Supra?

You've got to be kidding me. Replace the Celica with a Scion? Didn't they learn a lesson when Chevy had Geo? Having a "cheap" division just doesn't work. The scions are butt ugly and lousy performers too. Replacing an established Toyota with a Scion is ludicrous.
(Yes I realize Geos were imports, made by Toyota, Suzuki, and Isuzu. The point was having a cheap division)
Well suv's make the manufacture a lot of money. Most of the revenue for manufactures is the suv. Think about it why care about a $19000 car when you can sell 40 and $50000 suv's to sell. Remember suv's and vans outsell cars for the most part. If you ran the company what would you worry about more a cheap little econo car or the money making suv.
