What car did this engine come in?
OK, supposedly, my cousin has a "Japaneese" engine in his '92ish Integra. Its a B16A. I was wondering what cars this motor came in. Also what about the B16A2?
Thanks!

ok, so its from a JDM integra, anyone konw where in the lineup the XSi/RSi were? base, middle? also, i imagine since its a b sereis its pretty easy to tune?
hes got at minimum intake/exhaust. i didnt look into it too much, anyone know what kind of power he may be runnin? maybe 170 or so? he'll prolly beat me if we ever race, being similar power in a lightweight car(compared to my EP-2751 i think)

could be a EF9/8 (civic SiR) or the integra XSi the b16a came in both....well the race would depend on how bad the engine was beat on when i got my b16a for my old hatch it was beat to hell so yeh depends he may be running 170 ot the crank maybe and do u know if hes using the JDM tranny or his stocker? theres tons of variables

brain storm! i was looking on clubcivic.com and noticed that the 6th gen Si's came with the B16a.........guess what, his brother has a 99 Si. im thinkin that the motor was just recently swapped in, and the 99Si was bought about 6 months ago. now this is just speculation because i havent seen underneath the hood of the 99 Si, but he MIGHT have the Si's motor in this old teggy. if thats the case, i wanna know what the Si has under the hood!
however, i dont think many people would swap out a perfectly good B16a for no reason(unless they were getting a B18?), so maybe they got the motor out of a wrecked 6th gen Si, and therye just SAYING that its a JDM motor. who knows.

umm the b16a2 came in the 99-00 si
the b16a came in the ctr
the integra as far as i know never had a 1.6L engine... they had a 1.7 a while ago in an older gsr... unless they had older integra with no vtec 1.6L... i forget

^^ NO! the ctrs have a b16b not b16a. theres a first gen b16 and a second gen. b16a3 is the first gen and b16a2 is the second gen. first gen came in the del sol and the a2 came with the 99-00 si's. but thats USDM b16s. and the b16a came in the JDM teg.
uhhh yeh the b16a2 = 99 si and the b16a no # designation= EF civic and DA integra (honda integra XSi) the b16b is the ctr and who ever said the b16a came from a usdm car they are very very wrong the b16a is the first gen also no the b16a3
No way that Ebay engine could run 9's, unless you were sarcastic. It really is built for a mid-boost turbo (9:5:1 ratio is pretty high considering most cars running 9's have 8:5:1 or lower).
It's a good find I bet you could make around 250-325 horses out of it depending on what you do to it. So you would be looking at a mid 12 second Civic. Pretty nice.

The ebay seller was the one that said it was build to run nines or better. Depending on the turbo setup, the weight of the car that it is going into, the transmission, and the shot of nitrous that engine might see 9s
before a war happens here, look at this chart. its from club civic and i refer to this all the time. http://www.clubcivic.com/board/civicspecs.php
