Could it be that the color silver creates an invisible force field that protects the car!!!!
Or maybe...just maybe its coincidense that the cars involved in the majority were a color other than silver. Its amazing the conclusions that these "professionals" come to. Come on lets excersise a little common sense.

i dont understand how and why people come to these conclusions. ok... let me go get a silver car so i'll be safer. yea.... right.....
"have you been in a wreck'
"No'
"what color car do u have"
"silver"
"Oh, well then, that's 2 out of 3.... it must be the safest color"

Ok this is another one of those BULLSHIT reaserch conclusions, if u read it, it says that silver might be safer but they dont know why, its probebly that there are not as many silver cars in new zealend.
damn, why the hell do they even spend money on reaserch like this

Yeah, but even though you guys have been in accidents with your silver car. . You're still here to talk about it. .
Hrm.. Anyways. . Not sure if it's just the sample of cars they took or what . But I'm not sure how you test this theory. You would need hundreds of tests to prove it. You would need hundreds of identical wrecks in different color cars, where people have been hurt, or killed, to determine if 1 color was safer than another.
Even then who knows? Maybe it's the human mind and the way it sees and responds to colors that cause you to act a certain way around silver cars which statistially proves to make the driver of the silver car safer in some, most or all situations. Weird to think about, almost impossible to test.
So I have no idea. . Interesting thing to study though, not sure how they jusitfy the money to spend on research. So yeah..

The study mentioned takes into consideration the number of silver cars on the road. It calculates a ratio of car colors to accidents. For example, if 25% of the cars on the road are silver, yet only account for 12% of all accidents, you can clearly say that silver cars are safer. The study calculates it this way.
What it doesn't mention are the drivers. I suggest that most people who buy silver cars are more conservative (safer) drivers. Obviously car color has some impact, but I'd guess it's more about the driver than the color.

jeep had some sorta aftermarket bumper and that literally blew a fat *** punch on my hood, headlights broken, ripped the inner grill of my altezza grill, front chassis is bent 90 degrees. rear bumper destroyed, stock taillights untouched, trunk is dent/bent and unopenable, stock exhaust fell off, no windows broken.
it was kinda crazy at the duration of the crash i saw my deck flying off the front console and land to the rear passenger seats.
man.. it sucked big time.
I can resist everything except temptation.

Mabye honda are considered safe cars because they dont come in BROWN. . . the most DANGEROUS color of all! Hmm...dont see many **** color cars driving around . . . so their accident to car ratio must be huge . . like 2 accidents to every one brown car. . . lol.

Seeing a disproportionately low number of "silver" cars does suggest that some "outside force" is acting upon the situation.
The tards that did that study instantly think it must be a mystical, magical, or supernatural element.
We have all agreed that silver cars are easier to maintain. They go longer between washes etc. We have all agreed that they show dents and scratches far less than other colors. We have also said that black and red cars (for instance) have a more aggressive look. Insurance companies agree. Having a red car can sometimes increase your premium.
Aggressive people (generally speaking) will be more drawn towards certain colors and conservative people will be drawn to others. It's that simple.
Statistically speaking, aggressive people cause more accidents and conservative people cause fewer.
Being an aggressive driver in a "safer color" car just means that you are in the minority and are bucking the trend of the averages. It doesn't help you avoid an accident nor does it increase your chance of surviving one.
