AMG!!!

It seems Mercedes-Benz is trying to steal BMW customers away. I just got a mailing from them about their newest AMG models, the CL-65 and S-65. What exactly is a S-65 or CL-65? A C- or S- Class Mercedes-Benz with a Twin Turbo 6.5L V-12. Power you ask?
603 HP; 738lb/ft Torque only runs about $180k

Yeah, I'd never trade in my M3 for an AMG, but Mercedes come in close second (My girl has a CL-55, nice car). I give props to BMW because they're Motorsports versions (M for you unknowledgable peeps) are Naturally Aspirated
P.S. The new M5 is going to have a 500 HP V-10

I agree with deciuss. I've been in and driven both makes, and I like BMW much more.

Bluericeburna2k2 - I hope you'd take the E55 over the M3. It's like $15,000 more.

I love the M3 too much to get a Mercedes over it.

No clutch, no deal. Its as simple as that. I don't care how fast they can make a slushbox shift, it isn't the same.

You must never have used an SMG F-1 style transmission. No clutch, but no torque converter, so it's a manual. I can still turn my rear tires into molten lava

There is a clutch.... its just that the computer controls it hydraulically.... and you still have control over the gears. Maybe I should have changed the wording.

I don't hate on Bimmers... there's a 325XiT in my driveway too. It has a clutch too.

Too bad after 20 uses it voids your warranty .
M3 is in a class of it's own but I don't mind the c32amg affordable and quite fast enuff but if I had the $ I would hook up a m3 or new m5 as mentioned before. But BMW vs Mercedes who cares? Brabus vs Hamann, AC Schnitzer that's what I'm talking about

Here are the pics

i believe you only have a certain amout of lauch control uses before you warrenty is void on that part. you can use the smg paddles all you want. lol if ir were just for the shifting you would only get to bang out all of the gears a whopping total of 3 1/2 times.

Yes that what I meant I just worded it wrong, you have 20 launches before your warranty is voided. That still doesn't stop the mechanics from testing it out at the dealers
