So my friend has a torn up Civic, and although he has it fixed up and fellow friends respect it.. I always felt inside... man... I love my stock Civic 10 times as much. I mean.. crap.. it's slow, it's a bumpy ride cuz it's low and the shifting was jerky.. and I was gonna get pissed from the interior lights n all.. anyways..

Recently, he got an engine swap. I believe he said he's running a Integra LS engine + Some other stuff.. didn't quite get it and he offered to give me a ride. (I'm not too excited at the moment)

He stops in the middle of the highway and waits for all the cars in front of him to go way ahead.. I'm looking at the cars coming from behind on the side view mirrors and thinking "Man, these people are gonna be pissed."

One integra was right behind us.. and he saw us coming to a stop so he cut us off giving us an ugly look while he did it. The Integra was way up ahead now.

My friend asks "Ready?" and he steps on it..

All I have to say is "F*CK!!" The car sounded like it was gonna blow up. I didn't even know when we passed the Integra and when the hell did we reach 80MPH?! Back to the future style. It took the car.. I'd say like 4-5 seconds to get that high.. I was just in shock.

So far the fastest car.. I've been on was my mom's Camry.. now this Civic.. was just amazing.. and now I want a faster car. Just my ramble..

if the car was at a complete stop, accelerating 0-80 mph in 4 seconds will not overtake any car already driving at highway speeds that is way ahead of you.

what exactly is he running with the LS engine. Because i heard those are the best of the b-series to boost (except the B20).

Ya i have to agree with Shmeb ^^^, i don't think people have to tell him what his friend did was dumb. But mabye he should tell his friend not to risk his life with any crazy stunts. Like always, Racing should be kept to the track (except this wasn't racing, it was just a stunt).

Stunt whatever. There is no need for it. What if someone looked away for a second and crashed into the stopped car or got into an accident avoiding a stopped car in the middle of the highway. It's people like that give me road rage. And he mentions about how one person gave him an ugly look and how all these cars were ahead now. And by blowing past them, it showed them. The people who were minding their own business. It this was from a red light and the other car wanted to race I would have been okay with it.

stoppin during the fkin high way is fkin stupid shi^. I almost got in to accident with a fkin fked up 6th gen civic and a fked up truck stopped to race during the fked up rainny night. fked up people who stop in the highway for no reason i would tell them to go fked them self fk.

Wow, your "friend" is a complete moron for doing something like that. Like someone else said, what if someone was doing a mirror check one second, and looked back too late and ploughed in the back of you guys? Real smart thing to do lease: Plus, big whoop, an LS engine, wow, the car is still a Civic and it's still slow compared to real sports cars. Our cars are economy cars, not sports cars, so no matter what you think, it isn't fast, just quicker than stock. I hate people like that, I don't car if they do an engine swap or not, it's still a Civic and it's still slow, showing off like that only feeds the fuel of anti-ricers

OK...I think the point of it being stupid to stop on the highway has been hammered in as much as it can. He knows it's stupid. We know it's stupid. We know his friend is stupid and put lives at risk. We don't need more people jumping on that bandwagon.

Now...more about the car...Mods? tranny? etc etc.....let us know what was done to the car
