i heard a rumor that nissan is going to release a twin turbo version of the 350Z. i did a quick search on the site and didn't see anything. does anyone know about this, or has anyone else heard this rumor? i don't know any of the details, but supposedly there was an article in some car mag, but i don't know which one.

I've heard the rumor, but thats all it is. The only change to the 350Z power output is a bump from 287 to 300 either for 05 or 06.

Nissan hasn't said anything about a twin turbo 350Z, but Greddy has made one, it was in Road and Track Magazine 1 or 2 issues ago.

Rumor. The truth as I know it is that Nismo will offer a twin-turbo package after Nismo gets settled here in the US. They will not offer tt'd Z's through dealerships but you can get them installed as aftermarket parts with factory waranties (from Nismo).

Civicsrdbest is mostly right. No production Turbo Z, but Nismo is still deliberating between a TT or S/C. Engineers at Nismo say the S/C will be more reliable, but less power. TT, on the other hand, well you know....ridiculous power potential, but longevity issues.

The spercharged Z is a much more probable car to see in the future. Nissan signed a HUGE contract with a company that manufactures superchargers and it's doubtful that they would sell enough Xterra's and Frontiers to fulfill that contract. How do I know this? I used to work at a Nissan dealership and I talked to the district rep.

Id prefer a supercharger anyway. Less heat, better realiability and your still gonna be pushing close to 400hp with a low boost pulley.

Stillen's already got a SC kit out for the Z. Expensive, but pretty effective.

Rumor.

But it I def. could believe that Nismo would offer a TT package for the 350z.

I don't think it would bump it to 387-300 though. It should be more right? I could be wrong but if its tuned right there should be much bigger gains.

From what I heard my friend's Dad talk about (he owns a 03 350z) Greddy is coming out with a twin turbo kit for his car. Could be rumor, most likely is.

Nissan=Nismo

Honda=Homo right?

i think he was talking about a n/a 350z in 05 or 06, not one with f/i. like from the factory, like how vw uped the power from 150 to 180 on the 1.8ts.
