275,000 miles even...
And my Cavy's dead. Something was making it run like total ***, I thought it might have been low oil (I assumed it had to be, considering the cloud of smoke that blew out when I went to put oil in it), so I put 2 quarts in. It was a safe assumption considering the oil leak it's always had, so....afterwards, the engine started knocking. I babied it home, and barely made it, just as it hit 275k, and my dad's pretty sure the motor's blown.
But....I may have found a replacement. It's a MkIII Supra, not sure about the mileage, but it's in fairly decent condition...the side molding's gone on one side, but no rust or scratches. The alternator and battery have been replaced, along with some other stuff, and it's only $1000. I'm thinking it might have a blown head gasket, I've heard that it's a problem with MkIII's, but I'm not sure yet. I'm gonna call at 5:30 and find out, see if I can talk the guy down any, but I REALLY want this car...

I think my last car (Chevy) broke all the records. Before it hit 84k miles everything besides the engine was replaced (tranny, alternator, steering, all the major parts...) and when it hit 85k miles the engine started knocking. So when I hear a Chevy reach 100k miles, I'm surpirsed... yet alone 200k
is it that u left the engine stock that let it run so long. i want my civic to run 200k miles but should i take off the cai, catback and short shifter i have? or should i keep them. i want it to last forever u kno. i kno honda is real good. what u think i should do? i want it to last. i do however like the exhaust for looks.
i think its all in how you drive it. If you never drive it hard, then yes, it'll last 300k+ miles, but if you gun it at every traffic light and stop sign, like I do, I'll probably be lucky to see 150k in my vic.
I gunned mine for the first 150,000 miles (ages 18-23). The last 80,000 have been slow and steady.
I still remember her when she was new back in 94. Man she was a pretty car. Black on black EX coupe 5 speed. I put on the full bra and spoiler after I got her and threw a pair of 10" subwoofers in the trunk. I am an OG of the Civic Generation!

People like me only hope for the engine to die. Its only more reason to swap in a good ol' K20. For every part that breaks on my car, it gets replaced with something better. Thats the way I see it.

hahaha my buddys got a 94 taurus wagon with like 275 000 kms on it
and it defys all logic
it makes noises and vibrates a lot at slow speeds but smooth as silk at high
the thing is rusting at the top of the doors not the bottoms
he enjoys driving the hell out of it
so if he keeps driving it its bound to have a few thousand more km's left in it
oh ya and my grand parents had a 91 accord sedan that had over 400 000 kms and only had a small inch by inch patch of rust on the trunk
