NOT SAFE! NO NEUTRAL DROPS........ unless you want your tranny to drop to the ground. Yes, it has a rev limiter. I dont know if auto's can make it past redline. But I think fuel cut is at 7200.

He never said anything about neutral drops.
Yes, you can rev it in neutral, just DO NOT put it back into D or any other driving gear while the rpms are up. But if you just want to rev at someone while you're stopped or whatever then you can. Remember tho that you'll roll if you're on a hill in neutral if you don't press the brakes.

When the tranny shifts and when the rev limiter engages are two entirely diffrent things Einstien.
Yes you can hit the rev limiter in nuetral. Is it bad for it? Well.....it's certainly not good for it. Although I can think of no good reason to do so. If you must....do it once...see where the limiter kicks in..then remember that number so you don't need to do it again.

difference between a human and a monkey's dna is less than 2% and that 2% gives u...newton so dont blame on civic_racer. the rev limiter lies roughly at 6.9k....best way to tell, take it to the track and do a couple runs....
The diffrence between my DNA and Anthony J. Leggett's DNA is even less. Yet I don't think I'll be awarded the nobel prize in physics any time soon.
Taking it to the track is a good idea...just make sure you put the car into L or is it 1 on the autos? I have a stick. That way it doesn't upshift

Yes it has a rev limiter. It's not good for the engine to hit it though, although it can save your *** if you have a 5spd. Neutral drops are a severly bad idea. I was driving an 03 Toyota Echo this week while my civic was in the shop. It was a rental so I didn't care, I just did a couple neutral drops and shifted it like a manual a few times just because I didn't like the car and was pretty much just ragging it. By the time yesterday rolled around that tranny was sounding ****ed up.
Did you know that an echo CAN do a burnout? drifting is possible too.

y would u wanna do that on an auto tranny. if u wanna hit redline. just press on gas lightly to get car going n then press hard but not like u slam it. it will climb up like nothing
I saw an 04 tonight and to be honest with you, I like my 01 coupe better. IT was the blue one. It doesn't really look like a mazda 6 there buddy. To be honest it looks like the protege or mp3 headlights.
