Ok I might be able to build an evo iv out of a 96-97 mirage sedan. Now does anyone know where I can get some info (websites, people, etc?) on what needs to be done to the mirage for the 4g63/awd trans to fit properly on the mirages or is it just a straight bolt-on? Emissions and **** dont matter to me, I just want to know if its a pretty straight forward swap to do? Thanks again.

i hope you got some flaired fenders planned for that thing.

I saw a car at a car show, had a evo 5 badge on it, knew right away it was a mirage cause of the non-flared fenders. It had the drivetrain, suspenison, breaks, interior though...so i'm gonna say its do-able, just gotta look for a good body man to pull off the flared rear quaters.

awd will fit but its a pain in the ***.....would be a good project......4g63 will fir just gotta get the motor mounts......get a pre-95 motor

to give you an idea. Mirages in japan were called Lancers, the EVO was a Evolved Lancer. Thats one of the reasons when they redisigned the Mirage they called it a Lancer instead of Mirage. They knew they were bringing the EVO here.

And also Mirage Evolution just sounds stupid.

No cuz the evo IV's didnt have fender flares. I think the evo VI was the first ones to do that.
