i forgot if it the new road&track or car&driver, but the new 04 section said 2.2 liters, 240 HP and 154 torque(i think)

hopefully, the actual hardtop will be out soon


my need for a S200 has gotten even stronger

did the magazine say that there'll be a hardtop? i thought those were just rumors, and that honda said they want to keep the s2000 a "pure roadster," or something like that, and not come out with a coupe.

i dunno...

i heard from other forums that hardtops are coming out, and i heard it on a old article from SCC mag

i'll be getting a S2K next year when i become a 2nd Lt if i have my finances sit straight so that i don't have a nice car but live off of top ramen

$45K ain't much for such a $$ car, plus insurance

Um, its still an S2000 not 2200 even though the 2.0 is replaced with a 2.2

Also, the torque is like 164 or so up from 153.

revs to 8k now instead of 9, and its a bit softer suspension setup.

Still a fun car. I miss mine... <sniff>

...it just is. there was a thread on this a while ago. it went over the minor exterior changes and the engine change. they said that the name is still s2000 even though it's 2.2 liters

the 05' model is the one that is really due for the cosmetic makeover possible S2200. The 04 is just some minor work in the engine + colors to make it seem new/better than the 03's. This is what the dealer is telling people.

Please don't believe everything the dealer tells you. I highly doubt that Honda would introduce the 2.2 liter and restyling for a single model year (04). Incidentally, my dealer told me back in 00 that they call it an S2000 because they are only making 2000 of them... :-doh:

That's why the dealer wanted 10k over MSRP...
