New Transmission?!
My good ol Civic has been very shady lately. It's an automatic, and whenever it would go to shift from 2nd to 3rd, you'd hear it rev harder and take a few extra noticeable seconds to shift. Once it shifted, you'd feel like the whole car push forward.
I took it in for service today in hopes of them shedding some light for me on my problem.
I just got the phone call back --- They're ordering me a new transmission. I didn't ask what caused it (I was half asleep when Honda called), but once I pick it up today, I'll find out and post it here...
Everything is covered under warranty, thank god... If it would have been 4k more miles on the odo, I would have been screwed....
ahh...

Hey all this is my first time on here replying to a thread. I had the same problem on my old car it was the clutch slipping and then the thing burned all the way up. So no more Eclipses now I have a 01 Civic EX. Gotta love the sunroof. So it was probably the clutch or the torque converter giving you problems Matt
I sure wish my car was newer

About a year ago, a whole bunch of people had problems with their trannies, I haven't heard much about it since then though. Honda had a big recall for transmissions in their cars, but the 7th gen wasn't included.
