A couple things I ran across while surfing the web. This comes from the State Farm insurance website. . I found some information that a few of you might be interested in, some of these were questions I saw in threads awhile back. The site has a lot of information, but these links stuck out the most . .
Cars stolen most often in 2001
Top 10 auto theft areas.
Cars that generated the most claims in 2001
What affects the price of your insurance?

The MSA's with the ten highest vehicle theft rates are: Phoenix, AZ
Miami, FL
Fresno, CA
Detroit, MI
Sacramento, CA
Tucson, AZ
Tacoma, WA
Stockton, CA
Seattle, WA
Jersey City, NJ
Damn. . . . living in the Seattle area definitely has its shortcomings.

However. A lawn chair and a 6 pack on the roof of your house, along with a bolt action .50 cal. . You'd be surprised how nicely your car stays in your drive. . hehe.
note: The gun doesn't have to be loaded. Just the sound of the bolt action will get your attention. .
Nothing in Nebraska. . woot woot.
BTW. I've only visited Seattle. But it's pretty nice. Stunned the crap outta me, compared to here. Not used to seeing so many nice vehicles in a short time. People around here drive mostly crap.

Yeah!! I'm in Phoenix!!!!! Oh, wait, #1 is bad in this case.
On a serious note, what this link/page fails to mention, like every other "most stolen cars" list, is that 90% or so of those Civics stolen are probably 6th gens or older, NOT 7th gens. Not that our cars aren't stolen, because they are, but they are much harder to steal then the older models.

I have a solution for the people that come into America illegally from Mexico. . When the INS comes to pick them up, they don't take them back to Mexico. . They take them up to North Dakota and turn them loose. . So when they make a run for the border they run right into Canada.
