k20a3 shifter question

k20a3 shifter question

Ok i was doing dome thinking and i might swap a k20a3 iknow i know i should do the k20a2 but i cant afford the more expensive type s motor so anyway the k20a3 has a dash mounted shifter how is that gonna work if i swap into my em2 which has a floor mounted shifter as you all know . I cant use my tranny i have to swap trannys but how do i swap that ?
do i make my em2 have a dash mounted shifter or what . Sorry if this is kinda a dumb question i just never thought about the k20a3 before .

it will fit just like the k20a2 tranny would. you would not have any problems whatsoever.

The K-series trannies use a cable shifter (as opposed to the previous rod shifter), which enables Honda to place the shifter anywhere they want in the car.

With a K20A3 swap, you would still be able to keep the shifter in its present location. You would probably have to get a shift linkage unit from a base RSX or Type S, though.
