Best Way To Avoid Tickets.
im probably the rabbit they are talking about. all u have to do inorder not the get a ticket is to follow the law simple as that. but that site is for people who are trying to speed with out getting caught.
I've gotten in the habbit of looking at onramps as I pass them. I've noticed that cops like to sit back on the onramps and paint people, so if I see one I hit the e-brake (so my brake lights don't come on) before I pass him.
It's a good habbit anyway, because you can see the traffic that will be merging onto the freeway.

k i agree with lotz of the methods, but would liek to point out that if your doing the rabbit thing, dont be a COCKtail and just follow, generally its more acceptable (at least here on Canada's highways) that you leap frog it between the rabbit and the follower. one time i had a guy behind me, i was doing like 140km/h and this brutal VW would not step up to the plate! i slowed down to like 50km/hr on the highway and he sat right behind me for five minutes til i sped up again. anywyas i had to pull off at the next town for gas, and he didnt, passed him later at the ALBERTA border as he got pulled over by the coppers, haha, anyways morale is dont be a fool stay in school

I do all of those things and more. I have yet to receive a speeding ticket.
I average around 75mph on the highway, but I've gone as fast as 85 (constantly). It depends on the pack you're running with (as in the article).

How do you handle this:
in the SF Bay area, a lot of cops speed themselves, so if you're doing say 75, he's coming up behind you at 80/ 85 & you're busted!! As the cops here have Camaros, and "sleepers" (w/ no external lights), it's difficult to spot them. Bike cops do this sometimes, also.
The best advice: leave all you're speeding to GT2/ Sega GT 2002 or something. Obey traffic laws, they are meant to keep us & others safe.

OK, this thread is very timely for me as I just was the happy recipient of a speeding ticket the other day for the first time in almost 3 years. I will detail a Cliff's Notes version of what happened to me, just because it pissed me off severely and it makes me feel better sharing it, for some reason. I was driving on a residential street (Olive, for those of you in the Phoenix area) in a 45 doing my usual 5-10 over, about 53 or so, with no other cars near me, traffic was light, as it was in the late am. I notice a cop cruiser about 1/4 mile or a little more in front of me in the left lane, and noticed that I was slowly catching up to him, so I began slowing down to 45. As I got closer to him, he moved to the right lane and just about came to a halt as I passed him going about 40. As soon as I saw this, I thought "Oh $hit", and sure enough, he hit the lights behind me. The guy was an *** from the start, and said he was going 55, so I had to be going at least faster than that since I was catching up to him, so he wrote me for exceeding the posted limit, and that he "paced" me at 55, which is joke since he was in front of me quite a bit the whole time, until he slowed way down to stop me. I know for a fact this was deliberate for raising $$$ as our state/county is in the hole big time, so they pull over as many people as they can lately. Anyway, I agree with most of the tips in that article, I always use the "rabbit", always check overpasses, and always go with the flow of traffic. To those in this thread saying to "obey traffic laws", I agree, when it comes to running red lights, stop signs, illegal turns, etc., but going 5-10 mph over the limit is just common practice, whether it's legal or not. The did a study of I-10 in Phoenix to see what the average speed traveled was, and it was around 67-68 mph, keep in mind the posted limit is 55. So speed limits are almost universally ignored, as they should be, since in most cases they are set arbitrarily low as a revenue maker. This has been proven time and time again. Well, there's my.02 Sorry for the long rant, I feel much better now.
Its a celebration bitches!

Ive went through Lazer traps in my old Tercel many times doing sometimes up to 30KPH over the limit and they never bothered stopping me. They probably go after the hot cars.
Also, the other day I was doing 25 over in a safety zone (Forks of the Credit for the GTA members) And fell into a trap but again they didnt stop me. This was with my new SI Coupe. But its bone stock, so perhapse they only stop hot cars unless your really flying? Also, once they see me I dont bother slowing down. It just makes you look guilty. I usualy continue speeding because its too late anyway
