Weird custom job. I don't see a powersteering fluid reservoir in the pictures or AC compressor...so no powersteering or AC. I still wonder why they put in a high performance engine and then added more weight to the car with all that redneck-looking steel plating in the interior. The spoiler is practically useless also. I think they intended to create a bad@$$ street rod and ruined the process by mixing in poor aesthetic taste. All-in-all...nice try, but no cigar.

A 6-speed tranny gives you shorter gearing and thus better acceleration. It is not used to increase gas mileage.
I understand it is not for higher MPG, I was for some reason just thinking the 6 speed would provide lower rpms at cruise, I forgot that the ratios are closer for improved accel.
I checked it out and the final drive ratio difference is negligible..
4.410 on the civic coupe and 4.388 on the rsx-s
maybe a 100 or two rpms less.

But the S2000 has a primary reduction gear in its tranny giving it an effective 4.756 final drive. just FYI if anyone cares.

And that had to be one hella expensive custom swap. I can't even imagine the amount of money needed to convert to RWD and to get the drivetrain to fit.

I absolutely agree. The s2000 is not just it's drivetrain. This frankenstein monster is probably fairly unstable. Even if it IS stable, it can't possibly compare to the level of engineering Honda put into the s2000. Looking at that car, it's apparent that it is just for show. The owner of that car is SHOWING OFF his crazy swap. It's practicality is nill.

Everyone who says why didn't he buy an S2k. I hate that question. Think about it if it wasn't for guys like this or even guys buying altezzas where would the aftermarket be? This is the extreme of customizing and it needs to be here..

I agree with that too. I am glad that there are people that always push the envelope. Without them there would be nothing. This car is an excersize in what CAN be done. That fact I greatly appreciate. However now looking at the finished product, I am simply criticizing the actual practicality of it's existance. Those two things are seperate ideas. On one hand you have the CAR ITSELF. That can be measured for it's value. On the other hand you have the process of the car's creation. THAT is priceless.

funny, i see a/c vents in the third pic.

i'm seeing a whole lot of grass through the engine bay. that thing is almost empty. i bet if you worked hard enough you could fit two engines in there.

Fu*^K some people have to start using there heads. You think it says Toyo because he likes the company or any of the other large companies. It's called sponsorship and how the F*(&K else is zhit like this possible without them. Zhit I'd drive around with a picture of a goat on the side of my car if someone wants to cover 50% of a K series swap

hell for 80% Id put a huge blown-up picture of my you-know-what on the sides...pointing towards the front, in flames.
lol thats a funny *** picture.

you know how much that swap would cost total(not just the engine/tranny) you have to modify the hell out of the suspension, add an axle in the rear and set it up to drive worth a crap, weld a tunnel under the car to fit the tranny and driveshaft, new shocls all around, springs, new front susp. lol i can go on but lol its exspensive.

I would really rather have the money, to be spent on misc. stuff I want, than all on one car. I have to pay enough every month on my '03.

Now if it was in a coupe......MAYBE, since I like having lots of space in a car.
But it would definatly be a sleeper.

The thought of a civic coupe with rear wheel drive(tuned properly mind you) with a back seat to let three of my buddies enjoy the newfound all-motor power, is great. and six speeds!
I loved the six speeds on my camaro, never wore off the whole time I owned it. Never got tired. but then again I've had countless 5 speeds before that, and always wished for another gear.

all-in-all...this car with sk2 swap...no. BUT think of this....only what matters is THIS guys perception of this car.
HE is the one who (i guess I could say payed, but probably not) arranged or whatever to get this swap, who put the "dumb" wing on the back, with all the flashy stuff.

What I'm trying to say is what matters is what he thinks, I'm sure he thoroughly enjoys this car, and its motor/tranny, etc.
Taste differs from person to person.
for instance, I hate those little hatchbacks(I call them wagons) not because its a hatchback, just I dont like the lines, the only hatchbacks I like are CRXs, but there are PLENTY of people out there who would call me crazy, that a coupe looks ugly.
On the other side, I dont like those clear taillights, but they are everywhere and have probably sold hundreds of thousands.

keep all this in mind

THE END lol(ran outta stuff to say)
