I am new to the civic scene but I love hondas/honda motors. There is a b18c swap from an integra type r in a 1996 civic. He is asking 15k. I have a full mod list below. He is about 2 hours away. I know what to look for and it's non-turbo. Should I take a look?
2000 spec integra type r motor/trans, Quaife LSD, Sir guage cluster, honda s300, cold air intake, Apexi full catback exhaust, aem fuel rail/ pressure regulator, Hasport mounts, Skunk2 full suspension build, Skunk2 shifter, Kosei k1s with r888rs and extended studs, seibon lip, ctr side skirts, spoon style mirrors, ctr floor mats, momo monte carlo steering wheel, ctr rep wing.
modded cars are always unknown.
if you are lucky and he was not a hack job guy, you could buy a good modded car.
who knows?
just be prepared, you could might find issues down the road.
buying replacement parts for swapped cars is always complicated. Hey, I got this swapped car, which axles do I need to buy?
"did you ask the seller? If not, your guess is as good as mine"
Why am I have this electrical problems? Well, you see that electrical connector? It have not been properly attached...
IF you can't live with these, don't. If you can handle those, buy

These are really good points, I will keep those in mind when I take a look at it. Thank you.
This is just personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.
It’s a lot more than I’d be willing to spend on it. You’re looking at spending basically 20 grand CAD on it (just converting for my convenience), which is exactly double what I spent on my FR-S. I understand it’s not at all a fair comparison, but I think that’s a conversation you’d need to have with yourself, because at the end of the day, it’s a really cool car, but it’s still just a civic, and this is coming from a guy who’s had 6 Honda’s.
Not to mention, touching on the previous point of it potentially being a hack job: you could build a near equivalent car for probably less money, and ensure it’s done properly. You’d have to use a different B-series (because the Type R engines are criminally overpriced imo) but you could get similar results for a fraction of the price.

Re: Buyer Guide
I personally never buy modified vehicles because i dont want any of the headaches. Seen enough nightmares from people attempting to install stereos, lights, etc.
