Hey guys I’m new here and to the Honda scene always used to play with the ranger so I’ve got a 2000 Honda Civic with a d16y7 in it so no vtec and I can’t decide whether or not I would like to swap it or just build off the current motor any help or advice is greatly appreciated 😃😃

Alright so basically I’m currently just trying to get to about 200-250 horses I’ll be putting a turbo on either way I go obviously a b series I won’t have to do as much to make that power but which way would be cheaper because that’s also a big factor

Turbo charging a D series would probably be less expensive then swapping in a B and then adding a turbo to that. Now you could swap in a K series and get 200hp naturally aspirated.
Lots of info on the internet about building a turbo D series. People have been doing it for a very long time.

major item for turbo - fuel management.there's where most melt their engines. so that's where you spend your $$$ for a good unit
