Was a 2000 a 7th gen D17?

Hello people.

A 2000 civic EX 5 speed with 60k on it came up for sale, but I cant figure out exactly when honda released the 7th gen with the D17.. Was it 2000 or 2001?

Thanks!

Okay so it’s easier for you to post a question here vs read anything...

Hint- If you take a step back and look at the actual descriptions for this forum vs say 6th gen forum you might find your answer..

It's a 6th gen, as slumper stated it is in the descriptions for the different sections. Or a quick google/wikipedia search would have given you the answer

Re: Was a 2000 a 7th gen D17?

in North America
Model year 2000 is a 6th gen
Model year 2001 was the start of 7th gens .
If you look at production dates a 2001 model year car could have been built late in the year 2000

Chill down, both of you

rebar,

puffing chests at the slightest brush in the internet is... simply a question of - "what am I puffing my chest to my monitor?" kind of thing.
as seen in my previous reply, yes, it is described in each section.
but not worth puffing chests about it.
PS: Slumpert helps a lot around here and knows his stuff. Sometimes he lets a sarcastic comment, but he tries to help. so next time, lean your ears.
