Traditional automatic or CVT automatic

I need to change the starter on a 1997 Honda Civic EX, Automatic Transmission, D16Y8 engine.

The seller on eBay asked me if it was a traditional automatic or a CVT automatic. I have no clue.

How can I find this? Thanks
