Who here drive automatic
I recently got an 04 ex coupe, in automatic. How many people here drive automatic? Do you find your self not doing as many mods because its automatic?
I wish I could have gotten it in manual, but this car is sometimes driven by other people. It was not an option for me to get manual, despite how much i wanted it.

Rep Power: 0 My cars automatic. but when i had a Civic it was standard. I wish this car was standard. i need a 2nd car or something. Anyway. I would have gotten 6spd, but i dind't want to pay the extra money for an 03. and 6spd only came in 03. boo, i already wish i did.

Rep Power: 0 i drive an automatic, but i still do mods to it. i personally woudn't put any performance mods on an automatic, cause they're SLOW as hell. but i'm turning my car into a show car so it doesnt really matter. do whatever you like bro.

Yeah, I wish I could have a stick, but my dad didn't want to buy one for me because it would be too much fun. I tried to say that it wouldn't be fun, but ended up giggling anyway.
I still know that I am totally lucky to have my car, and appreciate my dad's support.
I have had no problems finding the parts for my automatic, so don't worry. Get the Injen- Race Division Intake, I have heard that thing is awesome.
I also have the HKS Hi-Power axel back exhaust, I love that too!

Rep Power: 0 i drive an auto. i have modded it, but not the engine. im not about it going fast, because there is no way it will ever go a whole lot faster w/cold air, etc etc. So i just go for the looks... the reason i didnt get a manual is because i was 17 and didnt know how to drive one, and also never planned on modding it

auto here too! I dont know how to drive stick too well..I wanted to get a stick, I figured that would be the best way for me to REALLY learn...but my parents wouldnt co-sign with me if I did

i have a auto and if i would have to buy another civic i would get a auto again driving a stick does not make your car fast or make you a "manly driver"just my 2 cents

When I purchased the car I had no choice... my old man payed the down payment and co signed for me. He didn't want me to get a 5sp because he might have to drive it once in a blue moon. Son of a.... I've had the car for over a year and he's driven it maybe twice.

Rep Power: 0 my car is auto too. I could care less if manual is a bit faster. If I wanted a fast car I wouldnt have bought a Civic. It's also alot easier to sell a automatic car than a stick, not to mention the higher resale value.
I have an auto and HATE it. Its so boring. Least with a stick you can have a little fun while driving a slow car.
Not trying to be negative though, I am grateful to have this car. My mom gave it to me and I have still beefed up the suspension and looks and stuff. Hey, its looks fast

i too have an auto,
transmission swap is in the works though.
many of you say well why swap when you could just trade it in
