Long story short, had a issue with the cluster draining the battery and my dad sent it to the eletrical guy and he fixed the problem but the keyless entry stopped working, cluster gas tank doesn't register right away, and some other minor inconveniences.

my dad doesn't wanna deal with that electrical guy because he messed up and he's too stubborn to bring it back.

Anyways I'm asking, if you can install keyless entry easily on this car? Power the unit and splice the lock and unlock wires and thats it? Or does this require more steps to install a cheap ebay keyless entry kit?

Your dad being stubborn is not an excuse.
The mechanic should be given the opportunity to correct his mistakes and finish fixing the car.
Even if YOU have to take it to that shop yourself. .


OTOH if hes really borked the car beyond reasonable repair costs........

been awhile now I dont think the guy will even remember us...

I think the aftermarket keyless entry will be better anyways, it has a shock sensor and alarm. I've installed afew electronics in cars mostly just subwoofers and amps, LED lighting etc...
I use to have a volvo and I tried splicing the lock and unlock wires but it didn't work. Thought maybe the civic would be more simple im hoping
