Hey guys! If you didnt see my introduction thread, Im turtle and a happy new owner of a 2007 Honda Civic LX! This thread is where all my updates will go and pictures and perhaps a basic audio tutorial and how to avoid some noob mistakes (like thinking somehow two 12” subs sound better than 1 10 or 12” sub in the trunk). So here are my plans and the first pictures I have! I plan to start doing things to it within the next month and hope to have it complete by August. Today it’s getting the oil changed with the other fluids to just get a baseline to where I can start and changing the belts soon. It has 168k.
Exterior/Appearance:
Fix Fading Paint
Paint the calipers (see brakes and suspension)
Lowering springs (see also brakes and suspension)
Add a roof rack for my bikes (I’m a competitive cyclist and also losing weight to race again)
Clean the damn thing and restore those yellow headlights
interior/audio electrical
Clean the car get car show ready (a carshow is just dudes who compete to clean their car better than the next guy. Mods shouldn’t have a place in judging unless there’s a category)
Replace passenger air vent
replace map lights
New head unit
New door and rear deck speakers
Amp and Sub in trunk
maybe seat covers
shift ****
replace shifter boot
Brakes and suspension:
Find wrecked EX covic at junkyard and take the rear discs off and swap them out drums are ugly and don’t perform as well to me
Skunk2 or Tein Endurapro Shocks and struts (budget friendly and seem to have quality)
Eibach Pro springs (I’m a tall guy and only want to do a mild lowering job)
maybe replace control arms
Under the hood:
Replcae clutch within 15k miles
Go to a bigger battery to support the sound system (nothing crazy wont need an additional battery or capacitors)
replace belts
possibly experiment with turboing the R18
Here are the pics of the car! I hope to update as much as possible! I’m not doing anything crazy and I believe with me doing a lot of the work and not including paint I should be able to keep it under 2K of investment

Ambitious To Do list, I replaced the whole headlight cover assembly and upgraded the driving lights to LEDs. See my 06 EX Brake System Upgrade post. Add a couple mods to your list like intake and exhaust, the little 1.8L responds well to these and they are pretty easy, cheap. There are lots of posts on most of what you want to do in the 8th and 9th gen. section and used the advanced search function.

thanks guys! I work, go to school, and train for cycling so I’m going to update and mod when I can! All updates will be posted here. One thing I have learned is I believe this switch in the pictures is to turn on the interior lights (very car I’ve had as had something like this) but cannot find the name or part at all. It does not work. And here are some interior pics of what needs replaced.
Any help sourcing the switch for the interior lights on the dash would be amazing lol.

Front are probably called maps lights, pull off the clear lens cover. I think I have replaced both the bulb and switch in these, back probably interior light switch.

...it wont fall off.
I've run cut fenders and lowered so much that a speed bump made a hole in my muffler; it never fell off though.
