any thoughts...

I did both my vehicles with pre-cut film by 3m scotch guard PRO..

I will post pictures..

I think is well worth the effort to protect your paint from stone chips..

even my 2015 rav4 chipped easy .. I had to repaint my hood and then did the film..

water based paints are ****, clear coat is so thin on newer vehicles its not even funny.

metal on body panels I can push and dented by my finger..

Is it me or cars are just made cheaper these days..

You already know the answer.
At the same time, you also know they can (might) last much longer than most from 2 decades ago with fewer major issues.
