RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
how noticable is it?
You will be able to see the touch up paint if its not that bad i say leave it. Trust me It will be more obvious with the paint. It wasnt designed to match very well it was designed to cover up chips in case of rust. There are actually places that can touch up chips w/io even being able to tell, its a little pricey like 60 bux but IMO its worth it.

Yes, I must agree...the touch-up paint is not a good match at all. I had someone scrape my bumper in a parking lot, and I bought the Honda touch-up, but I was really disappointed in the results. Even after 10 mins of shaking, the paint was thick, gummy and the color was way off -- at least on my white.

I noticed that HandA has a new touch-up pen that might be good, but I have not tried it yet.

honda touch up paint is tight... you just have to spray it.. cant us the little nail polish applicator... buy a cheap aerosol conversion thing from a hardware store or hobby store, mask off, and paint, then buff out JUST right.. and will look fine

One of the reasons why touch-up paint never matches your car is not the paint itself...its the way that your car was painted.

Your car was painted with high-tech spray painting machines...
And touch-up paint is usually applied with a cheap brush... believe me it makes a hell of a different. Touch-up paint is usually a bit darker than your car......but anyway that was just information for everybody.

Use a bit of soap & water.

To remove all the crap... wipe it with de-natured alcohol.
And apply the touch up with a toothpick... not that huge floppy brush.

I have some chips that have already started to rust. What do I do about those?

The other ones are ok, they just went to the primer. Black primer right?

This Honda paint seems a lot more susceptible to damage than my old 87 BMW

On my car the Taffetaa white touch up paint is a perfect match.
I've bought 2 different bottles from 2 different dealers and both are good. The brush is what makes it look so nasty. That and the lack of a clear coat to match the gloss.

I'm about to fix mine with rust too. I got sand paper and everything. Maybe if I have time this week I'll get it done. I will post to tell how mine at least turns out. I'm skeptical though about the results.

Yea dish washer soap will remove wax and grease, but don't leave it on to long. As for the touch up paint, its not gonna look too good if you try to cover certain spots, but incase you do you might want to check this product out. Its called Mothers California Gold PAINT CHIP REPAIR.

I just painted my washer nozzles and they look a little weird. Besides brush marks, I think the color is too dark. I'll see tomorrow in the light.
