Anyone with a welder?
Anyone with a MIG welder that I know that would be willing to let me borrow it in the summer? I need to weld together an exhaust system. I will have the OEM header, an axle-back, a pre-muffler, a section of flex-pipe, and a high flow catalytic converter. It should be easy enough. Pretty much straight piping with maybe a bend or two and some flanges.
Anyway, anyone out there...

I have a wire feed arc welder, but I will have to use it soon to build an exhaust for my "beater" car. I think I live a little too far away too. Try a Merriham Graves store or a tool rental store, they may have some for rent. You won't have to have a 220 volt feed on some, they do make welders that run off 110 volts, a standard wall outlet.

I actually have a 220 volt socket in my garage, so that wouldn't be a problem. I didn't think about renting one. Thanks for the tip. I could set everything up and tack weld it in place. Then check everything and make the final welds. Although I think I'de have to practice on some scrap metal first. I'de have to set everything up one day and weld everything up the next day. That's a good idea though, thanks.
