Well, you just have to use more silicone around the edges. The stock stuff is black, right? Use some black silicone. I have lying around at my house. If you do it right then it'll work. They may also be fogging up since you opened then. Maybe it's not an air leak. Wait a while and it might go away.

Thanks man. I'll prob reseal it just to be safe. BTW - Correct me if I'm wrong, in the Spring it really shouldn't fog up anyway right? I guess after rainstorms and stuff it will but oh well. Should be fixed by then.

Yeah, maybe rainstorms? It's the humidity and the heat of the headlight I think.

hmm, i cleared mine and sealed them back up with a hair dryer using the silicone that was already on, i havent had any fogging...yet. i thought it was durring the summer time when it gets humid that it might start fogging up. id hate to have to get those things open again, that silicone gets everywhere

Yeah, I opened one of mine up and re-sealed it just like you did. No problems yet. I was going to do the clear headlight DIY in a certain way, but I didn't have a good orange paint. Now I have a different idea that I'll try.

Well, I cleared mine a couple months back and I've had no problems. I did spread it over two days though. Used the oven to soften the grey stuff (sedan lights have grey stuff instead of black in case you didnt know). Cleared the lights. Popped them in the over again to soften it up again and added a little extra black silicone inbetween the grooves. Put them back together, but some of the areas around the clips werent tights. Borrowed some clamps from MeeHow. Popped them in the over again and clamped them together overnight.

If you do reseal them, make sure you get the moisture out first, else it might get trapped in there.
