It would be sweet if we can get it so the grey is the only part of the sticker (the black is the actual glass). Else the white would be fine.
that was the intended idea. i didnt want to make a gif w/ transparencies cause then it would just be a huge file....but yeah...only the grey part...the other might need to be clear tho so that the letters dont have to be applied one by one...

Well, silentrage has some pretty intricate designs, so I'm guessing they can make all the black parts "empty" with no real problems (assuming we go with silentrage). As long as they do a professional job on it and the letters line up perfectly, it'll still be pretty easy applying the sticker. Just need to be a careful applying the smaller letters and the little 'dashes' so they dont lift off when peeling back the clear parts.

The C squared might be a little too delicate ( ) for a team design. Looks good but I want something more aggressive ( ). If you know what I mean.

Hey PbFoot, can you make the same one with white instead of grey? Wanna see the contrast between the two.

Hey Grey, I like that one much better than your others, even though it's close I knew before they needed something. Came out great thought but...did you ever think about putting a little "H" on the top left corner to make the whole thing look more like a rectangle? Just a small opinion, came out pretty good though.

Maybe not an H since we kinda want the name to be generic enough so that we can still use it if we switch cars. Maybe a cartoon-like outline of a street car with a bodykit? I'll try improving that one a little more. Wait, Sam... What do you mean the 3rd one? You mean the white one? They're pretty much the same. It's just the colors. I think I'de want a white one too. It contrasts well with the tint, or the black window edges.

Hey grey, that idea sounds good, i was just throwing one out there. I like the generic idea though... Maybe sam meant how it looked more like an outline instead of a solid one. Either way, I'd swing for a silver one.

inca, i dont think different colors are a problem...but do you mean you liked the design of the blue one better or the color??? cause the blue one is slightly different from the grey ones. i moved the "oncepts" in the grey one....

While you're at it PBfoot..how about putting the both "ustom" "oncepts" at the bottom of the "C"?

And Grey, can you make your new ones have a V shape for the bottom of the "p"? And something's off at the right part at the end of the "m". Maybe make that line entirely skinny, instead of the fat part on the right?

A V shape on the bottom of the P? That wouldn't match up with the U & N though. Hmm... How about just flat. The fat part of that line coming down from the M is intentional. See how the vertical parts of the fonts are fat and the horizontal parts are skinny? I made that line fat to blen in with the style of the font. How's this...

I'de like to see the first one with the squared thingie, but move the squared a little lower and to the right. Plus maybe make it a tad bit bigger. I'm leanin' towards it though...

hold up...ill post it in a few

Edit: ok...here it is...

Wait though, what about the shape? It's too squarish IMO. Where would you put it? I would want one that you could put somewhere like a 7thgencivic.com sticker. Back windshield under the third brake light for example. Maybe on the small side window in the corner. With this thing it would have to be pretty big for the letters "ustom" and "oncepts" to be visible. By then it would be too big to be put somewhere like the little corner window. I can't imagine putting anything that's 6" x 6" anywhere. The question is, where would you put it?

It wouldn't have to be very big, and you can put it on the side window...

aight, if you're going to be picky, then whoever wants the 'squarish' design can have theirs and whoever wants the long design can have that too...

it doesnt need to be big...i think it would fit in the little rear quarter window.
i know the "ustom" and "oncepts" is kinda small...but i cant think of a way around it with that design...and i havent thought of any other designs that i like.....

Good point about the size. From my display settings at work, I'm seeing PB's design being 4"x4". That looks like a decent size for the coupe side windows. The letters would be a little small though, but unless you're trying to advertize to people while you're on the highway, this shouldnt be too big a deal. I'm looking to replace the Chinese chars I have on the back window, so a 6"x6" might be a size for me..

I am liking the new one too..

I still wanna see how it looks like with a V shape at the bottom of the "p" . This "p" looks a little too plain for the overall design.

I PM'd silentrage since none of you bishes would email him. I also referred him to this thread, so hopefully he will check it out. I asked him about the pricing for ordering both designs with different sizes and colors.

My PM to silentrage
Hey whats up Roy. This is Kevin. I was emailing you about the Custom Concepts design. My email is down so hopefully you check the site often..

Got a few more questions. We are narrowing down the design we want. I'm thinking we should have the final design in less than a week. These are the ones we are detailing right now..

You quoted me $5 for the bigger 15" decals and $2.50 for the smaller ones. If we are undecided on the size and design we want, would we be able to get a mix match on them for the same price? Personally, I think I want 2 small decals for the 1st design and 1 large for the 2nd design. Could we order, lets say 10 small decals for the 1st design ($25) and 5 big decals for the 2nd design ($25) for a total of $50 or do you want more because they are different. Also if we get different colors as well, will that cost extra?

If you wanna follow the process, we are posting ideas on this thread.

Thanks!
What about the colors... So gradient fills are no good? Which colors can we use? Better ask him so that we can design with only those colors. What format does the graphic have to be in? WMF (Windows Meta File) allright? I can do all sorts of formats. Could you ask him those...

You should also ask about color formats, (CMYK, RGB, etc.) and DPI of the files....for pressprinting you have to go at least 144 DPI otherwise it wont look good....and about dithering....gradients....and how many colors can we create them in? (16, 32, 64, 256, thousands, millions)

Yeah, that's basically what I'm asking. Even though my last pic is greyscale, there are shades of greyscale. Those qualify as colors.

Actually gentlemen, for print projects, 300dpi is minimum...for printing magazine quality and such...I should know, it's what I do! You wouldn't get away with 72dpi or anything near that number and have it turn out well But I think for this process, we'll be fine with a run of the mill tiff I think...

Be glad you don't have to read out the specs like: 100lb dull cover with a varnish, 5 over 5, 4 colour process (which of course has to be CMYK) which bleeds and is scored, 1 perf, 2 wafer seal, self-mailer with an indicha - don't forget the population, mailing code, number of pieces, electronic files with all images inclusive...and how and when you want it delivered

Now that's a mouthful!
