GUILTY!
Well I'm back from my 3 week long jury duty.
and the verdict is in......
GUILTY........
It actually wasn't all that simple.
There were 2 plaintiffs (People who sued) a man and his wife
and 3 defendants (People who were sued) a doctor and 2 nurses
and to make a long story short.
lets just say that the doctor perforated the guys small bowel in 2 places, while doing the surgery.
The guy almost died because the doctor just closed him back up, and sent the guy home.
The guy got a real bad infection and had to spend 72 days in the hospital and had 6 different surgery's just to try to fix what the other doctor had messed up.
so we awarded the guy and his wife 1.7 million dollars
I will answer more questions if you guys have them.

unfortunatly I'm going to be working today and tomorrow.
I need the money, and I'm scheduled!
There was some kid who covered for me everyday for the 3 weeks that I was at Jury Duty, so I have to work weekends for a little while to make up for it.
I'm also partially broke, cuz I spent all my jury duty money on parking.
If I don't have to work tomorrow (doubtful) I will try to come down to the car show.
but I don't see that one happening anytime soon.
I'm actually at work right now, and I'm working on rebuilding my center console. (the console between the seats)
I'm gonna put switches and lights and possibly a second screen where the cup holders are.
I might also add an N64 to my ICE project. so I would have to find a place to connect the controllers, and also a place for my wireless keyboard receiver. <---- those are the main reason why I'm gonna try and rebuild the center console.
I'm making a model out of cardboard right now, and when I have time (maybe next weekend) I'll try to build it..... (BIG MAYBE!!!)
Well I hope you guys have fun.

Agreed, good to have you around again..........
That's amazing that you awarded 1.7 million to those people.... I bet the doctor is happy that he has malpractice insurance now, eh????
Too bad you'll miss tomorrow, but there will be plenty more meets........ Good luck with the console......

Ah, doctor incompetence. A common occurance in Poland. My uncle, both my grandparents, my aunt. All had fouled surgeries.
That's what you get when you have government funded medecine...
Anyway, that took a while didn't it. Hmm... Welcome back!

i dont think that has to do with government funded medical programs. im originally from ukraine and 3 of my grandparents were doctors and never had any kind of malpractice. i think its just a matter of knowing who to go to, its all about connections...and its the same here. youre gonna have great doctors and youre gonna have really bad doctors. thats just how it is, unfortunately.
