Damn it! As if I didn't have enough things to work on. I parked my car outside my new place and I wake up the next morning to go grab some Taco Smell and my driver's side mirror is clipped off and there's a huge dent along the whole side of my car. Fuggin' miffs me!
I contacted my insurance company, but it seems that I'm not covered for collision. I guess I figured that accidents only happen when one is driving. Oops.
I couldn't find the smashed mirror anywhere on the street, but then I see it's over in my neighbor's back yard. Weird. I grab it and don't say a word.
So... I've got some work to do. I bought a new mirror. Looks like it will attach pretty easy. Then I'll have to bang out the dent as best as I can. Then sand it on down. Then filler. Then primer. Then paint. Then clearcoat. Then buffing. Yeah, it'll take a while. I have all of the tools that I need so I'll DIY of course, but dayam! Time consumption up the hizzy. Bleh.

That sucks...they person must have ripped off your mirror and thrown it in the neighbors yard. You should try fingerprinting it...like CSI...and run the prints through AFIS.

Sorry to hear that M...I had something similar last weekend, but not nearly as bad...I was walking from my girlfriend's house to my car when my alarm goes off - apparently, the car passing by to find the parking spot in front of mine clipped my front bumper and took some paint with him. I stopped him and asked if he hit my car, and he said "I dunno...maybe I nudged it?" I showed him the damage and the idiot offered to take me to dinner...yeah, like I want to spend an hour of my life with the *** that hit my car. lol
I actually didn't press the matter considering it was right next to the side that already had some prior damage from last winter. The hell with it...
