Its cold out
Yup, where I live it is -8 right now, and boy its cold.
So how is everyones civic in this extreme cold? Took me 3 trys today to start it. 1st time it started bought sounded horriable and stalled, second time it started, sounded ok and stalled, and the 3rd time it started and idled fine.
I usually let it sit for 30 minutes in this weather before I drive it. What does everyone else do to battle the cold? Any special tricks? Block heaters?

It was -24 where I was. After work I had to start my car. No problems. I have an Optima Red Top though.
Lots of cold cranking amps.
It did hesitate for a little bit though. I did notice it working more to start up.
I noticed more power though!
I love it when it's cold!!! I also noticed the engine sound nicer. I even turned off the stereo to listen in to it 'cause it sounded nicer.

Read my sig thingy. It was -13 F here without windchill. Has been for the last three days.
I hate this crap! My car started fine but it sounded like it hurt a little.

it was snowing a little when i drove home from my g/f's house at like 11:30 tonight. all was ok, and i think i got a bit overconfident with the driving conditions, so i was going at around 70. the snow didnt really pile on, just kinda laying there a bit. anyway, going 70 on 287 (NY thruway) and theres a gentle curve...hit an ice patch or something and did a nice 360 in the middle of the highway.
BOY THAT was fun.
i recovered and nothing happened, but that shook me up a little. glad to know that i can get myself out of a tight spot like that tho.
anyway...all i wanted to say is drive safe out there, black ice is a bitch.

Damn PbFoot! In the middle of a highway? That's a new one for me. I did do a 360 too, but only when i breaked and turned (hard!) to avoid a collision. I wrote a thread about that earlier... Anyway, glad you're ok.
Renamazazo: hehe.... It's froben.

haha...grey, that was a new one for me too. i was turning also, but it was a gentle one and i think there was a patch of ice, so when the car didnt turn i might have tapped the brake or oversteered or something and that started the whole 360 deal.
glad to hear youre ok too. hehe...
