I always keep the max speedlimit at 75 when in a caravan. I am preparing another checkpoint in southern NJ, at a rest stop off the turnpike. From this spot, it's about 110 miles to the meet spot, just under 2 hours going 60mph with minimal traffic. so what time should I say to be at this rest stop? I don't wanna make you NE people leave any earlier than necessary...

Yes, please. People, don't drive faster then you need too. We all know how these cars perform so there is no need to show off. Just drive carefully and make it down to MD without tickets!
The committee is having a meeting tonight and all other details/info will be discussed and decided upon. We'll keep you updated.

I don't drive fast anyway. Some of you already know that. I'd say we'd keep it at around 65-70mph.
Mex: we'd probably be in the area around 11:30-12.
Tell whoever to PM me for phone numbers and I can keep people up to date on where we are.

OK, here are the FINAL plans.
NE people leave CT no later then 8:30...they meet with the NY/NJ people at the rest stop off of the NJ Turnpike (Richard Stockton Rest Area) and leave there no later than 11:15. Then, you will all meet up with the PA people at the last stop, the Deleware Rest Area and leave there no later than 12:30. Exchange cell phone numbers between people incase of problems and such. People with 2-ways or talk-abouts, please share if possible. This way no one gets lost or left behind. I'll have all the numbers of the caravan leaders and will work with them to make sure everything is going as planned.
Everyone--check the website: here for the food you are supposed to bring. It is really important that you don't forget because we are counting on you!
A word to the drivers PLEASE, don't drive fast and furious style! We want everyone to get to this meet without tickets, and more important...in one piece! We all have Civic's. We all know the HUGE amounts of power they produce. Drive Carefully! And remember, click it or ticket !

Ok, I'll be finishing the food list this weekend. There are 7 more people to add to it...and I'm sure a few more will join up last minute.
Dan-Mex has the meeting spots for the people driving north or whatever. He'll have them posted ASAP.

Yeah, I'm gonna give you copies of the directions from here, to the rest stops, to the meet.
I can get us through the whole thing from CT to MD. From rest stop to rest stop. All you need to know is how to get to me. I don't know if anybody is taking over from the rest stops though... doesn't really matter though.
The only time we have to be close together is basically through NY. That's why those directions are so detailed. After that it's basically just cruising for a few hours.
I already know that we will hit traffic in NJ around exit 13 because of construction, but it's not too bad though. We have a lot of lead time. With a little traffic, this trip should take around 4 hours. We are leaving 5.5 hours ahead of time though.

Just to clear things up. Alex is in charge of the caravaning. He will be leading the whole way. You will be stopping to pick up other members at rest stops.

91 South and and go through the 91/95 merge and go through New Haven
Or, if you are showing up early enough, you can take the Merrit Parkway down to me and I'll meet you off the exit (right by my house). I have to find out what exit number it is... 56 I think. Then we can go to the rest stop from here.
Choose which ever one you want, just let me know. If you are taking the Parkway, then I'll give you exact directions.

yeah brandon, I reserved a room, threw it on my credit card, when we get the bill, we split it by how many people we have, than you guys pay me, seeing how i'm obviously being billed on it. i figure this would secure us the room. i called about 2 weeks ago.
