front plates

I have a question (if not asked before) about front plates for our cars. I am up here in N. Dallas (plano area), and I have been running without a front plate for about 5 months now. I have passed by many cops and never anything. The question is am I flirting with danger in getting a ticket or what?

hey i know in san antonio the cops pull over people left and right especially when you put yourself in a situation where it is more likely to be around cops... races, "crusing" stuff like that... a friend of mine was asked to put his plates on in the middle of the street ... but its up to the cop if he'ss gonna be an a$$ about it

I have a friend who just got through with the police academy and she said something like that also. You will be fine unless you are racing or doing something that these hillbilly cops don't like. I saw a guy that went to the TX meet with his plate in his front window instead of the bumper, does that really make a differance to the cops???

yes, they aren't as visible when they're in the window. anyways it's a secondary offense, like clear corners. they usually won't pull you over specifically for that.

i havent gotten pulled over for that but some cops are just mean.. one time i got pulled over for "speeding" which i really wasnt when i asked the cop if i could see what he clocked me at he gave me a ticket for my hoodlights and the hyperwhites above my back plates... but all my tickets were dropped cause it was proven that i really wasnt speeding

Yea I got pulled over for my green street glow kit because the cop said I was displaying blue light. I wanted to say "They are green as hell wtf are you talking about" but I agreed and said "never again officer" and he let me go but anyway some guy I work with has no front plates and he said he has never been pulled over for it in like 2 years.
